Vision and Mission
The term “symbiosis” refers to the close interaction of two different organisms or entities for mutual benefit.1
There are countless examples in nature such symbiotic relationships. Similarly, astute leaders of businesses of all sizes are increasingly recognizing that the businesses that will thrive and win in this new era of increased competitive, business, social, and environmental demands in a world of limited resources, will be those that recognize and take advantage of the symbiosis between the seemingly disparate, but actually highly intertwined, elements of environmental responsibility and pragmatic business strategy.
At SymbioSus,™ we envision a world in which sustainability thinking and action is the default position, natural habit, and fully integrated approach of the great majority of businesses and individuals, due to the symbiotic benefits for the practitioners and the environment in which they operate.
Further, we envision a world in which business thrives and achieves quality profits not by linear, take-make-waste, extractive use of finite natural resources, but rather by working in symbiosis with the environment, from which all business resources ultimately come, while learning and innovating based on the example of nature’s cyclical, infinitely renewable processes.
However, our extensive practical business experience also helps us see clearly that environmental responsibility cannot just be a feel-good activity – it must contribute to tangible bottom line and other improvements. Our unique combination of sustainability expertise and practical business experience can help it do just that for your organization.
